Leave your car in the farmhouse parking lot and start your excursion immediately on foot or on two wheels: there is an almost unlimited choice of well-marked and maintained hiking trails leading to local mountain huts and refuges, where you can rest and refuel with delicious traditional South Tyrolean dishes.

From hiking and mountain bike tours on the Salto plateau to snowshoeing, skiing and sledding in the Dolomites: by car or shuttle from San Genesio you can reach the famous skiing and hiking complexes of South Tyrol, such as Merano 2000, Obereggen, Val Gardena/Alpe di Siusi, Reinswald, but also Carezza and Plose.

There are food shops and pharmacies in the village of San Genesio and Meltina, while those who love to go shopping and explore local venues will find the historic bustling streets of the provincial capital, Bolzano, ideal for a pleasant outing.
